Jangam Muth is a Muth in Barsi town, in Solapur District in Maharashtra which belongs to the Lingayat community. One great devotee of Sri Swamiji, named Mallikarjun Jangam, belonged to the Jangam Muth. During the month of Shravan, this devotee arranged a Mahaprasad also called as Mahabhojan.

Sri Swamiji was staying at that time in the palace of King Maloji Raje. During his stay there in the palace, Swamiji did not consume any kind of food for a week. When he was questioned, Swamiji expressed his happiness about taking food with Mallikarjun Jangam at the Jangam Muth, located in Barsi town.

Now King Maloji Raje wanted to know the actual truth and so decided to investigate. He sent a horse rider to Barsi town to find out about this. On reaching there he questioned Jangam who said that, Sri Swamiji was there at the Jangam Muth for seven days and had eaten food along with them. This was enough to prove the fact that while Sri Swamiji was residing in King Maloji Raje, he was also taking his food actually at Barsi town.

Swamiji had his ways of filling happiness in the lives of people. For him the first step towards Divine Truth and Religion was the purity of one’s behavior and following only the path of virtue. To divert the attention of people from worldly entanglement and attract them towards devoutness and virtuous conduct, Swamiji would perform miraculous works. The main aim of his incarnation was only people’s welfare. He was an incarnation was of God, on earth to uplift the souls of people and invoke in them good religious practices.

Swamiji’s miraculous works have made people bow their down their heads in prayer and respect. Swamiji would abandon his physical form and become pervaded and formless elsewhere, without losing the essential element.
