Someone with a pure white aura is seen as a pure being, though perhaps not as action-oriented. When someone has reached their highest potential and chooses to remain active in the world, their aura will typically be electric blue. This type of aura enables them to function in the world in a seemingly superhuman way.
Rather than portraying Krishna with blue paint, the depiction of his blue skin arose from the perception of those who were spiritually aware. They saw the blueness of his aura and described him as blue-skinned, while those who were not as perceptive saw only his physical appearance.
