Everybody must have heard of the great Indian thinker and Mathematician. He is known for creative mathematical theories of the modern times and he is supposed to have received the breakthrough in Mathematics through a process called Channelling. He was born in 1887 in a small Indian village and he received very little formal education. At the age of 16 he got a old mathematics textbook and was attracted to it. He was so fascinated to the subject he memorized the whole thing and wanted to explore more about the subject. At that time he had no access to the higher level of institutional learning and could not know more about the subject.
Ramanujam at that tiem of his life began to sense the existence of two deities, Namagiri, a local goddess and Shri Saraswati. Shri Saraswati is a well known Hindu deity and she is also considered the deity of logic. Ramanujam thought that these two deities helped him learn the discovery of new mathematical theorems. With the blessing of Shri Saraswati, Ramanujam sent his work to well known mathematicians in England and they straight away realised the brilliance of this great man. Ramanujam worked alone and received the tutoring from the two Goddesses, Shri Saraswati and Namagiri. With the help of the goddesses he produced a series of creative and resourceful mathematical theorems and stunned the world.
With the grace and blessings of Shri Saraswati the formulas which were discovered by Ramanujam were novel and experts in the field thought that the imagination to invent them must have come from some godly power. Ramanujam lived till the age of 33 only and within this short life he has independently complied near to 3900 results and most of them were identities and equations. Most of the work he has done has been proven correct in today’s world and Shri Saraswati played an important role in grooming him, according to Ramanujam himself.
