Shri Swami Samarth one of the greatest spiritual leaders had a magnificent figure and striking personality. He had a look which was commanding and the eyes had a state of having total knowledge and the quality of knowing everything. Swamiji had an air of freedom in his appearance, mannerisms and ways and he was not bothered about the physical comforts. He was always in his own world and used to mutter something to himself always. People often thought that his actions were childish and strange. He had this habit of conversing with the stones and trees. Swamji treated the stones and trees as his own kith and kin.

Swamiji advised his disciple to chant God’s name and also wanted everyone to overcome all differences and lead a good life. Swamiji always wanted his disciples to stay away from bad addictions and he always welcomed guests and gave then water and food. Shri Swami Samarth always advised his devotees and followers to always earn money by effort and use it for their own success and help other too.

Shri Swami Samarth’s disciples believed him blindly and always believed that whatever good or bad things happening in their life were due to Swamiji’s wish. He taught them to accept happily whatever came to their lives. Swamiji told his disciples that devotees who set their mind and heart on him constantly are dear to him as a baby for his or hers mother. Swamiji taught his devotees to be good hearted and a true devotee of Shri Swami Samarth never hates others. Swamiji was always happy and also taught his disciples to be happy in good times and bad times. According to Swamiji, understanding the final truth of their lives is the ultimate and this cannot be attained through the sense organs alone.
