Jiddu Krishnamurthy also called as J.Krishnamurthy was a great philosopher, writer and public speaker in India. He founded the Krishnamurthy Foundation. He was born on May 11th, 1895 in Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh. His parents are Sanjeevamma and Jiddu Narayaniah. He was adopted by Annie Besant and Charles Webster Leadbeater for further education and development.
Right from his childhood he was introduced to the new World Teacher but he withdrew from the Theosophy organization supporting it and rejected the mantle. He studied at the Paris-Sorbonne University.
Annie Besant got associated with J. Krishnamurthy when he was 14 years of age. She not only recognized his spiritual evolution, but also adopted him and took him for further education to England. Lead Beater, convinced about Krishnamurthy’s role in spiritual evolution of the world, his spiritual greatness, decided to make him the future Messiah.
The Order of the Star was set up accordingly for him by them but Krishnamurthy had a vision of his own. He dissolved the Order of the Star in 1929 and kept himself away from the Theosophical Society’s activities. He started having private conversations with people, delivered unique speeches from February 1986 till the time of his death. He died in February 17th, 1986 at the age of 90 years, in Ojai, California, United States of America.
J. Krishnamurthy is indeed one of the greatest original thinkers of the modern world. For people whose minds have been caught in the unpleasantness of conditioning and conformity, his teachings prove to be truly incomprehensible and transcendental. Jiddu Krishnamurthy did not adhere to any religion, nationality, caste or philosophy. Accordingly he spent the rest of his life in speaking to individuals, small and large groups of people and travelling the globe.
