Shri Avichaldasji is the chief of the Sat Kaival Sampradaya. The chief of the Gyan Sampradaya is called as ‘Kuveracharya’. In line, he is the seventh Acharya. Through his philanthropy, discourses and numerous activities he has organized, he has earned a place and name for himself. Shri Avichaldasji resides at Sarsa in Gujarat. Spreading the message of the Paramguru is his first and foremost duty.
Shri Avichaldasji’s clothing is very simple, including a white shirt, a white loin cloth (dhoti) and a simple dress. When he has to go out for his discourses etc, he wears a special turban. A special symbol of the Sampradaya called the Bhal-Tilak and Shikha adorns his forehead. Shri Avichaldasji never wears any ornaments. He wears special silver footwear called the Chakhadi (used especially by saints and guru’s in India).
Paramguru Shreemat Karunasagar Maharaj introduced the Kaival Dharma in the year 1829 in Vikran Sanvat. Paramguru. He manifested himself in Gujarat in a forest in Kasor Village.
Shri Avichaldasji preached about Universal God ‘Kaval Karta’, taught his followers how to worship the Kaval Karta and ways of living a righteous life. He taught his devotees that Kaival Dharam teaches one basic principle that there is only one God and he does not have any figure, form, body, race or gender.
Shri Avichaldasji made his devotees remove the idea from their minds that there are multiple Gods which is commonly believed by Hindus. He taught them that various Devis or Devs are simply manifestations of the Karta and are assigned particular tasks to perform. However they should not be termed as God. His devotees viewed him as Guru who can help devotees towards God and in the process attain Salvation.
