Shri Swami Samarth was a divine soul who had performed many miracles on his devotees but never liked the idea of somebody pointing it out. Once when a Punjabi man told the Swami that he has come to meet him because he is doing lots of miracles the Swami was annoyed and told him that miracles are performed by magicians too. His power was truly spiritual and his life as spiritual leader is much more than the miracles he used to do. Swamiji was sacred soul and had mastered many spiritual powers. He rules the basic five elements of life.
The Ultimate Guru
Shri Swami Samarth was ultimate Guru (teacher) of the world and treated his disciples with the same love and care irrespective of the caste or social status of the person. He never beleived in the caste and social status and always tried to overcome social differences. Swamiji wanted people from all religions and casts to lead a spiritual and social life no matter which God they believed in. Swamiji believed in “ Sarva Deva Namaskaram, Keshavam, prati gacchati” which means whatever form you pray it all goes to the God. Swamiji always muttered spiritual mantras and Sanskrit shlokas and communicated what he had to tell the world through these Sanskrit verses.
Swamiji never believe in the differentiation of caste and once when somebody asked from where he came from, Swamiji replied that his caste is Chambhar and his parents were from the Mahar community. Mahar community those days were treated as a depressed class of people who performed low jobs and were allowed to live outside the village. These people were untouchables during those times and by claiming that he was a Mahar community person he was teaching other to overcome caste differences. Swamiji taught people that knave people are the social problems and these types of people should be avoided totally.
Teachings
Swamiji never liked lazy people and ordered people to stay away from lazy people. He wanted people to work like a bull and do relentless efforts. Swamiji gave teaching of ‘karmayoga’ which is the Path of Action. He asked people to throw away the pride in oneself and asked them to listen to and follow saints. Swamiji asked his disciples to worship God and chant his name and be satisfied with what they have got. Swamiji believed and taught that God resides in every human being and he ordered to his disciples not to hurt any animals.
