Shri Swami Samarth’s miracles are many. Once a photographer called Phadke wanted to click some pictures of Swamiji and he came to Akkalkot. Phadke received an appointment from Swamiji at five in the evening and he reached in front of Swamiji on time. But Swamiji instead of sitting for the photo session gave his hukka to Phadke to hold and kept on smoking till seven in the evening. It was quite dark by then and Swamiji asked Phadke to click the picture. Phadke didn’t know what to do and told Swamiji that it was too dark to click the picture and that the picture will not come out well. Swamiji smiled and asked him to click the picture and the photographer didn’t know how, the pictures came out well.
Early Life a Mystery

Like all the miracles of Swamiji, his life was a mystery. People had a clear picture about his whereabouts once he reached Akkalkot but the life before that is still a mystery. Lord Dattatreya devotees were sure that Swamiji and Narasinh Saraswatic are one and the same. Sri Narasinha Saraswati appeared during the year 1300 (1378 as per English calendar). He disappeared in Patalganag and again appeared in Kadalivan in 1380 (English calendar 1459).

After Swamiji settled in Akkalkot he became famous and there were many people visiting him for various reasons. On hearing his fame a European advocate wished to meet Swamiji and travelled from Kolkatta to Akkalkot. He met Swamiji and was curious to know from which place Swamiji was from. Swamiji replied that he started in Kadalivan at Sri Shail Mountain first and from there visited Kolkatta. In Benagl he received the blessing of Kali Mata and wandered about on the banks of Ganga. While wandering in Ganga he visited Haridwar, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Badrinath, Ayodhya, Dwarka before reaching the banks of Godavari.

Understanding Swamiji

From there he visited Hyderabad and was in Magalvedha for many years after that visited Pandharpur, Begampur and reached Mohol village and then came to Akkalkot. To another person Swamiji described himself as a Yajurvedi Brahmin by name Narasinhbhan and he also said that he belonged to the KKashyap Gotra and Meen Rashi. To some others Swamiji said that his deity is Sri Narasinha Saraswati. To some other s he said that he is mool purush, vat ka vriksha, Dattanagar. Swamiji was always considered as a miracle sage and he was also a person who was difficult to understand.
