Shri Swami Samarth, in Solapur, blesses many devotees in worldly and spiritual matters. There was north Indian Brahmin who was a great disciple and good sadhak and his name was Mukund. Mukund received good advice from Swamiji and after that he started observing complete silence and was known as Mounibuva. Mukund reached the Siddha state many of his devotees were benefitted by his spiritual powers. In Akkalkot many people kept visiting Swamiji and Chintapant Tol was also one of the devotees who came and met him. Pandurang Puranik was another pious person who met Swamiji and invited Swamiji to his house for meals. Swamiji accepted the invitation and Puranik’s wife welcomed Swamiji with devotion with garlands etc.
Free from the Affinity to Amass
Puranik’s wife placed a dish of snacks in front of Swamiji and Swamiji took a laddoo from the plate and stared at it insteadof eating it. The crowd gathered there thought that some blunder was committed by Puranik and his wife Nirabai. Nirabai requested Swamiji to eat the laddoo but Swamiji asked her to bring the remaining laddoo from the kitchen. She had actually kept the other half of the laddoo on the stove in the kitchen thinking that Swamiji may not eat the full laddoo. She thought that if Swamiji does not eat the full laddoo it may go waste. The devotees gathered there was surprised to see this but Swamiji happily ate and blessed the couple. Swamiji indirectly suggested that one should be free from the affinity to amass.
Manik Prabhu is the fourth avatar of Lord Dattatreya and he had many followers who came to him for material difficulties but very few came for spiritual guidance. He had a devotee named Bapu Dikshit and this man had a nephew by name Vishwanath Vaidya. The whole were religious minded people and honest people with clean mentality. Every evening they used to sing Bhajans in front of Manik Prabhu. One day when they were singing Dattatreyabhajans there appeared a bright light which blinded everyone there and Swamiji appeared in front of the crowd. Swamiji was accompanied by two other sanyasis and Manik Prabhu welcomed Swamiji and led him to the highest chair there. The other sanyasi were also invited and made to sit on the other chairs.
Incarnation
Manik Prabhu explained to Babu Sabnis and others that the great sanyasi was Swami Samarth and he will be staying in Akkalkot for helping the people. He explained that Swamiji was Lord Dattatreya himself and was his guru. He also said that his youngest brother will be a close devotee of Swamiji and will reach great heights spiritually. Swamiji and Manik Prabhu blessed them and the sanyasis stayed there the whole night. Baba Sabnis had his doubts which were cleared by Swamiji through mental communication. Manik Prabhuthen left for Akkalkot and inform there that Swamiji was arriving soon in Akkalkot.
