The charisma of a saint like Shri Swami Samarth touches every facet of one’s life. Vasudeo Balwant Phadke was one of the first revolutionary of India and he had met Swamiji twice or thrice in Akkalkot. Phadke had told his slogan to Swamiji secretly and Swamiji did not agree. Phadke once kept his sword and was sure if Swamiji gives the sword to him he can win any war. Swamiji realised the result and told one of his devotees to put the sword on “tarti” plant. Phadke had to leave Akkalkot disappointed because Swamiji never believed in violence.
Set the Fire Blazing
Sheshacharya Agnihotri was a very strong devotee of Swamiji and he used to come quite often to have a darshan of Swamiji. Even when Swamiji was in an angry mood he used to get the darshan of Swamiji. Once he insisted on getting a pedha from Swamiji and Swamiji did not even give a glance to him until Agnihotri understood his mistake but later his life became relaxed. Bhagwant Appa Sutar had a lavish farm and he called Swamiji for lunch. Sutar was expecting 4 people but because of the blessings of Swamiji 50 people enjoyed lunch. In the night, Swamiji gargle mouthful of water and he spit the water in the fire kept for roasting corn and set the fire blazing.
Swamiji is the master of masters and guru of gurus. Swamiji is the direct incarnation of the Supreme Realisation. While staying at Chintopant Tol’s Swamiji used to play a bizarre game. He started collecting and cutting arenda woods into 1 feet pieces and then poured sand into it. The wood pieces were then kept in lines same like the battalion soldiers keeping their guns. Swamiji made five to seven lines in the triangular shape and this Swamiji did for five to seven months. There were many people who kept asking what Swamiji was doing and for this he answered that He is making battalions.
Revolt Against British
It was difficult for people to understand the purpose behind that but in 1857-58 the revolts against the British sovereignty and Nana Saheb by the Indians started. There was wide spread rebellion against the royal army and only then people understood what Swamiji meant by saying that he is making battalions. When the war was dominated by the British army Swamiji used to sit with his head shoves in the mouth of cannon. The name of the canon was Laxmi. In the war British army had blown thousands of Indians using these cannons and Swamiji was putting across his anguish for the dead Indian soldiers.
