Yashas is a male demigod called the God of Melancholy. He is a reincarnation and affiliated to eight Guardian Generals and Seven Deities. He performs the role of a Guardian General. The family of Yashas includes Durga (sister), Asura (brother-in-law) and Mithra (niece). He is the secondary playable character of Asura’s Wrath and is a deuteragonist. It is believed that Yashas was born in a middle class family in the Shinkoku Trastrium.

Yashas is depicted with dark brown shoulder length hair with some of it wrapped in the form of a bun on his head. His chin is covered with a brown pointed beard. Traditional prints and marking are marked around this young man’s body. Dual white scarves falling back on his shoulders, golden mask (which offers protection against any violent attack) and Japanese styled clothing. It is believed that he wore wraps on his ankles, a black colored Gi, fingerless gloves and a black Hakama at the time he was training with Augus.

Yashas is depicted as following standards that are morally correct. After seeing the plight of humans and the demi-gods both, Yashas worked hard to bring in peace to the world. Unlike the hot- blooded passion and seething rage of the Asuras, in comparison Yashas is melancholic, level headed and is cool emotionally. To prevent the world from destruction, he was willing to sacrifice his own life. He had strong bonding with Durga his sister and was devastated after she died.

Yashas felt sorrowful that he could not take vengeance for her life. In his quest for vengeance he was not sure whether he should support his fellow deities or support Asura (his best friend). Yashas has harvested and purified so many souls as well as The Seven Deities that he turned unsure and devastated about himself. He began calling himself ‘demon’ and suppressed his emotions with the golden mask.
